All Junior and Adult instructional classes are 6:1 ratio. Leagues, Drill and Play are 4 players per court. Cardio Tennis is 8:1 and Zone is 6:1.

Visit our website and create your account, then add any additional family members who will be participating. 

In order to create balance and an effective learning environment, a class assessment evaluation will be required for students new to Alley Pond and have played tennis previously. Call (718) 255 2127 to book your evaluation appointment. Beginners who have never played do not need to be evaluated and can sign up for the appropriate age category in a beginner level course.

Please send an email to tennis@commonpointqueens.org to request a lesson. Include your name, age group, tennis experience, the days and times that you are available. You will be contacted by our client services staff to arrange the lessons.

We will accept new students into the session that has begun already and will deduct missed classes. Registering late will not guarantee you a space in our programs, therefore we recommend you register during the registration period. Lesson packages cannot be prorated to account for make ups

In order to register for group classes or leagues, full payment is required. For private lesson packages of 8 or more, a 50% deposit is required with the balance paid by the 3rd lesson of the package.

Transferring to another class or program is based on approval by the director of tennis.

We carry a limited number of demo racquets that can be utilized initially. We recommend by the third class your child has their own racquet that fits their grip and size. Please speak to your child’s teacher or front desk for recommendations.

A new student can take a trial class for an additional fee and pending there is space available.

Tennis sneakers are a must. If other types, cannot be blacksole. Shirts must be worn. We suggest you also bring a water bottle.

Parents/caregivers are not allowed on the court. Please stand behind the curtain or watch from the viewing windows inside the clubhouse. For Private lessons, parent/caregiver may sit by courtside upon approval of the pro teaching.

Photography or videotaping is not permitted for group classes. For private lessons, photography is not allowed only with the permission from the pro on court.
